How time flies and how I wish time can slow down a bit to have more time of each moment before it turns into history. Nevertheless, it has been a rewarding and fruitful journey over last 7 years when it all began and look forward to more joys, pleasant or unpleasant in years ahead.
April month marked another World Autism Awareness Month, I brought him to the enabling village for the first time too. For us as the caregiver, every day is an awareness day for Autism, same goes to all the warrior parents who are in the road less travel.
May Blissfulness - Mother's Day celebration
Not forgetting Great Easter day...had bought him new Mario Kart game after his exam, glad he likes it and play hard too !
There was a hidden agenda unfolded in term 2 when one of his teacher gave him a chocolate one day and he put it in pocket. During his way back in the school bus, he happily took it out from his pocket to eat but the chocolate had melted and his school bus friends had told him not to eat in the bus else they will not friend him, he became upset as he seeking social and value friends very much but also wanted to eat his chocolate in bus. When he reached home, he roared in the midst of not being able to understand why and how the right social perspective taking should he take. So he communicated with form teacher via chat group, who had managed to patiently and slowly taught him with visual drawing and directed him to his social center after he somewhat understood and see why he does what he needs to do during such circumstance next time. Thankful to her teacher, Ms Stella for her enthusiastic and patience, who is also ever encouraging to students when they did well in their learning. My little hero has indeed benefit from her good guidance and teaching, and not forgetting the other SPED Team members who have crossed path with him as well.
