Term 2 had been quite challenging for him with the first ever SA papers in both English & Mathematics. But I am quite thankful that he has come this far, very hopeful that he still has potential to maximize results for coming 2 terms with the right support and teaching.
Taken while trying out his new shoes bought by his mommy, he has developed and improved his balance, legs and hands strength, picked up useful jogging, warming up and rhythmic technique from his PE teachers during Term 2.
Sharing one of his activity at home
Very often, he has to work many times harder to compensate his weakness and to close his gaps with his target conditions, the challenge is to strike a critical balance between what he can Vs what he does not want.
I always believe that if he cannot learn the way we teach then we must teach the way he learn. Always review and explore new opportunity to motivate his engagement in learning.
This photo is very special to me when my wife took it and shared with me. I am sure the value of this moment will be very much appreciated when it becomes a memories in years to come as both grow up. I also look forward to many of such moments from both as we journey on.
We had a family lunch to celebrate Mother's Day with the entire members of 10 altogether, a blissful moment we all cherished and look forward to many more years to give thanks to all our mothers within the family.
He is indeed my fighter, see him for who he is, unique in his own special ability, understand his feeling, accept and love him, embrace his every little effort as he try to make us understand that he is here not to fit into our box but to help us realize that there is no box.
The grand finale of Term 2 ended with a School Sports Day, he truely enjoyed himself and we were blessed to be able to witness the event. Everyone who took part and contributed to this success is a winner and an over comers. Each had shown us that whatever obstacles they may face, the faith in trying to over come them is a critical success factor, kudos to all the students and special educators. We as parents, have learnt the important values of perseverance, resilient, team work and friendship. We got him to recall and write a journal about this experience over the weekend..
Share a video log from him as he commences his June holidays:-
My June Holidays
It will be more of a mixture of play and school work practice to improve his weakness from his SA1 results.
We just bought him for a swim today after he had completed his homework schedule for the day in mathematics to kick start his own holiday camp.
We will be looking for a short weekend getaway to visit in-laws in KL.
