This year is also the first time that the whole family attended the event with my sister & her 2 angels We are thankful that he has grown up, more aware of the space and people around, able to participate and integrate with the environment inputs and community at large. Met up some of his past teachers, friends and parents, can look forward to many first time for him in days to come.
He had enjoyed greatly in his play time and also try some of the games at the carnival namely tossing paper, thowing balls & fishing.
The main highlight was the photo studio segment, we have the waiting, changing, trying before actual take.
All these went on in state of flow, the 4 actors and actresses collaborated and co-operated well, kudos to the teachers and staffs in attendance.
Thanks to my sister, who has been very supportive of him and our family in this journey less travel. She told me to count them in for subsequent AVSW so that she can help to chip in as well in any way they can. Truely touch by her gesture of richness from the heart. Her daughter is also studying in Pierce Secondary School, the latest Satelite partner for PL Secondary school integration learning, so blessed to cross path in this special way.
Aside from the carnival event, he had also side track to walk around with me and show me his classroom & work in school, 2 of which had been put upon display at English & Discovery board. We are really very proud of him to have come this far.
Not to forget the vast array of food stalls set up, we had our lunch before leaving home happily and enriched with Love, Hopes, Joy & Peace .
It was gratifying later to learn that the fund raising was a tremendous success
Journeying with him has been more and more rewarding, he has taught me that where the little things are NEVER the little, every inchstone is a celebration. Kudos to SpEd Team for their continous support to do better and better for tomorrow improvement.
Very often, we see 2 sides of people, what we want to see and what they show us but the key in bringing light and hope to this special community is to accept and see who they really are, this can be one of the gap towards a more inclusive society and faithfully work in progress, slowly and surely.
Lean is all about energy, the key is how much positive energy
we can sink in to stay afloat before the overwhelming negative drown us. In
neuro typical, is 2 positives -1 negative receive or 3-1 to be better manage,
but for special lean, it requires at least about 10 positives to every 1 negative. It
has got to be self drafted to survive.
